What we store

If you create an account: your email address and, when you sign in with Google, the name and profile picture Google shares with us. Passwords are stored only as secure hashes.

What you do on the site: your votes, saved sites and collections, sites you submit (with any email or founder details you add to a submission), comments, and chat messages and images.

If you subscribe to the newsletter: your email address and whether you confirmed or unsubscribed.

Page views are counted by page address only; we don't record who viewed them.

Why

Only to run the directory: to sign you in, count votes, show your saved sites and submissions, review new sites, and send the newsletter you asked for. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.

Who processes it

Supabase hosts the database and sign-in, Vercel hosts the website, and Google handles “Continue with Google”. Site previews are generated by GoScreenAPI from the public address of each listed site. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts and the “Listed on” badges from Fazier.

Cookies and storage

Your browser keeps a sign-in session so you stay logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your choices

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter with the link in any issue. To see, correct or delete your account and the data tied to it, email newworldwebs@proton.me and we'll handle it.
